BandLab - Fan Reach

This advertisement was created to promote BandLab’s new campaign, Fan Reach, a new app feature that allows creators to connect with their fans in different ways. The advertisement uses BandLab’s promotional videos that feature musicians and producers using the app in different cities around the world.

The campaign was created with the idea of a personalised letter. Like an ink pen dipped in heavy ink, the colours and paint spill across the screen, not unlike a handwritten letters, scrapbooks or postcards sent between two distant friends. Just like the new Fan Reach feature, I used the colourful floating ‘blots of ink’ to connect disparate scenes of creators and fans from across the world into a cohesive thread.

The backgrounds were painted by me with arcylic paint on watercolour paper.
